I always imagined that Benny The Jet ended up becoming a utility player/pinch runner. Is there anything in the movie that suggests otherwise? Or am I just guessing? He seemed like a cool dude.
I would be fully onboard a legacy sequel about Smalls’ career as an announcer and his professional friendship with The Jet. It could be like Brian’s Song, but without the death.
HBO Max or Netflix mini-series. I want to see Kenny Denunez in Triple-A ball. You could almost do the entire thing about him, but you could give each character a 2-3 episode arc that ends with them meeting up at Benny’s retirement ceremony.

Yesss. Stop the remakes give us some these guys older. I’ll be happy.
In fairness, I never saw The Sandlot 2 or 3. Maybe they’re secret masterpieces!

Loving this. Let’s pitch! 😆
I didn’t either!
Your insights are spot on. So good that “ You’re killin’ me Smalls!”
Thank you!
