Surprise! I’m starting a monthly post rounding up everything else I watched. If you’ve ever been curious about what I enjoy other than dissecting 90-minute movies here’s your chance. Also, this is going to appear like I don’t have a life, and the thing is, I don’t, so let’s go:

MOVIES

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles 1,2, and 3

I had a lot of time off at the beginning of the new year and I spent it re-watching all three of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies. The first one is still the best, but the third one was surprisingly better than I remembered. The second one still has Vanilla Ice in it.

Donatello is my favorite.

Rambo III (twice)

I got tricked into seeing this movie twice this month. That’s all you need to know about my marriage.

Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery

I will always prefer the first, but this was fun enough.

The Menu

Not what I was expecting. A bit heavy handed on theme. But delightful to watch. I loved this one.

M3gan

Finally I got to see this little robot girl dance in the context of the movie and it was everything I’d been waiting for.

You People

I don’t know if it’s because everyone is getting dumber from watching TikTok all day but lately movies are not very subtle with their social commentary (see above Menu and Glass Onion) BUT this movie was a lot of fun. I haven’t actually laughed that much during a comedy in awhile, and I’ve missed just straight up humor. Can we make more rom coms please?

TELEVISION

The Crown

My friend Courtney forced me to watch this at her house and now I’m addicted to it and starting season two. Long live Princess Margaret!

Eastbound and Down

I am re-watching this with Frank. The reason as to why is vague other than he has never seen it and I feel that he should. Kenny Powers is a pop culture icon.

Yellowstone

A lot of people have suggested this one to both Frank and I so we finally gave in. These episodes are A. LOT. We’ve watched about 4 in total because we need to put roughly 1 week in between each one.

The OC

Another re-watch in our household. I’ve been wanting to get Frank into this one for so long. It’s somehow both better and worse than I remember it.
